Donyell Malen could be a solution for Borussia Dortmund if the Black and Yellows need more money to spend in January.
German publication Bild reported on Monday that Borussia Dortmund have set a budget of just €15 million for January transfers, despite wanting both a centre-back and a full-back.
The future of Donyell Malen has been the subject of plenty of speculation over the last 12 months. The Dutchman is said to be looking to leave Borussia Dortmund. And according to BILD, those in charge at the club are also keen to sell him when the transfer window opens in January.
The tabloid claims that Borussia Dortmund would like to generate a transfer fee of around 25-30 million euros from his sale, which could be use to further bolster the squad either in January or next summer.
Borussia Dortmund are struggling with a number of injuries, particularly in defence, with Niklas Sule and Julian Rierson both sidelined before Valdemar Anton returns, so Nuri Shahin is looking to add reinforcements in January at centre-back and full-back.
BVB have set Register ufabet a budget of €15m. So the ideal scenario would be to find a player with similar qualities to Rierson who can play on both sides of the full-back line.
However, the Yellow and Blacks could also increase their budget to sign new players if they can offload Donyell Malen in January.
